30 Killed as Passenger Coach Plunges into Ravine on Balochistan–Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Border

According to initial reports, the coach was traveling from Quetta to Peshawar when it met with the tragic accident in the mountainous region. Rescue officials said the vehicle fell into a deep gorge, resulting in heavy casualties.
Rescue sources confirmed that 30 passengers have lost their lives so far, while around 10 others sustained injuries. The victims include women and children. According to bus management, a total of 36 people, including the driver, were on board at the time of the crash.
Following the incident, the district administration of Sherani, rescue teams, and ambulances rushed to the scene. Rescue personnel from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also joined the emergency response operation.
Deputy Commissioner Sherani, Hazrat Wali Kakar, stated that the injured are being shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment, while efforts are ongoing to retrieve bodies from the ravine.
An emergency has been declared in hospitals in Sherani and Dera Ismail Khan to ensure immediate medical assistance for the injured.
The rescue operation is being carried out jointly by Rescue 1122, Frontier Corps (FC), police, district administration, and other relevant agencies. Authorities said rescue efforts remain challenging due to the difficult mountainous terrain.
Officials have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
