div style="text-align: left;">Tight Security in Islamabad Amid Possible US–Iran Talks
Heavy deployment of police, Rangers, Frontier Corps (FC), and other law enforcement agencies has been observed on key highways connecting Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Strict checking is underway at multiple checkpoints, while all routes leading to the Red Zone have been completely sealed.
Authorities confirmed that the Expressway from Korral to Zero Point has been closed for all types of traffic. Meanwhile, traffic on Srinagar Highway may face intermittent suspensions.
According to traffic police, entry of heavy, commercial, and public transport vehicles into the twin cities has been temporarily banned. Residents of sectors G-5, G-6, G-7, F-6, and F-7 have been advised to use Margalla Road and Ninth Avenue for travel to and from Rawalpindi.
Officials added that if Club Road from Park Road is closed, traffic will be diverted towards Tramri Chowk. While the busy commercial hub Blue Area remains partially open, both the Red Zone and the extended Red Zone are completely restricted for all traffic.
In addition, the Metro Bus service operating between Islamabad and Rawalpindi has been fully suspended. Most educational institutions in the twin cities have shifted to online classes for the coming week.
Authorities have urged citizens to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with security personnel during this period of heightened alert.
