5.3 Magnitude Earthquake Tremors Felt in Islamabad and Multiple Cities of KPK
According to seismic monitoring authorities, the earthquake measured 5.3 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 174 kilometers. The epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
Tremors were reported in several areas, including Kurram, Mardan, Buner, Swat, Shangla, Charsadda, and Lower Dir.
The sudden shaking created fear and panic among citizens, prompting many to rush out of their homes while reciting prayers. Fortunately, no casualties or property damage have been reported so far.
Officials have advised the public to remain calm and follow safety protocols during aftershocks. In case of emergencies, citizens are urged to contact Rescue 1122, while emergency response teams in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remain on high alert.
